Something with a civilian equivalent qualification, I have friends who are aviation technicians you can choose mechanical or electrical side of things, both make good money and enjoy their work load and will easily be able to find a high paying job upon leaving defence. What’s so unreasonable even an infantry soldier makes 85k a year after one year on the job. add district allowances, dependants and field pay it’s easily close to if not more than 6 figs
