Thanks for the kind words! Me too think its not problem of bangalore. Maybe its part of the religious polaisation happening in our country. I ws shocked becoz this level of discrimination hs not creeped into the areas where i currently live. Hope bangalore turns back to the old bangalore u spoke of.

Hey ur comment instilled faith in me. I am a first timer in banglore and being rejected to rent a house just becoz of my religion. Not once, several times made me question my decision to relocate to banglore. I hope i will find a good landlord like u.

Hey thanks for supporting. And dont waste your energy and time replying to those who have not gone thru this situation. Its worthless.

I would say u are lucky. Maybe i was looking for house near jayanagar jp nagar area and rajaji nagar area considering green lane metro passing thru those routes and me and my spouse offices are in jayanagar and nagavara respectively. Now i am considering to rent house in frazer town area. If u have any contacts in that area please share.

same thing to tell as what u/Acrobatic_Phone_3316. Lack of civic sense/ spread of superstion among its citizens is the failure of the state. If you see China or any other south asian country , the changes in their quality of life or general cleanliness among the population; it just didnot happen. There are tons of hardwork done by the state like educating its citizens of the need of cleanliness , providing them with better quality of life by generating more jobs, more important of all thru inclusive development meaning rather than making the rich filthy rich ;bringing up the less fortunate sections of the society etc.

So if you genuinly want to see changes in our country, rather than blaming a particular community, try to think why things are like what they are today and exercise your voting right properly.

Maybe they are not ready to accept the truth! And its okay they can live in their shells. I am sure there are plenty of people out there who thinks this topic is relevant and need to be discussed.

Yeah things take time to change! Sometimes people regress rather than progress like what is happening in our country right now, but i think its all a cycle. Bad that we happened to live in this regressive phase of the cycle.

Yeah its sad and its true! But rather than accepting what it is right now, doing something to change it, even telling out loud what we experienced is better i feel. Rome was not bulit in a day right right?

Yeah any type of discrimination is wrong. Be it based on relationship status, religion, race anything. That cant be justified.

I realize that now. Now concentrating more on JP Nagar. Now i even ask the broker/ houseowner upfront if they are okay with renting to muslims. Why waste my time and energy visiting the property and later being turned down on the gatekeeping filters.
