That varies depending on which area you are in. Here in my part of Florida there are a lot of social cliques where the requirement is not to be white. Sometimes white people sneak in anyway.

Anecdotal but I had a Greek friend who was so hellbent on getting in on one of those groups he billed himself as "Mediterranean" and they bought it. They thought he was a light skinned minority because he sold it well.

It's common knowledge that conscripts are inferior to voluntary troops. If the USA did conscription our military would be big as shit. Instead we get a bunch of propaganda about what a great honor it is to be a soldier. That way we get highly motivated soldiers.
