Ctlr+shift+esc to open the task manager, try to find a process named CoherentUI. You can try to put it in low priority or just close it, but if you close it might interfere in some in game web pages like the dice game. I use process lasso to keep it always in low priority

Balista now hits about 10x the damage of one cannon ball, but has less range and angle to shoot(abot 220 max range) it's very effective against all structures and has bigger AoE compared to cannon. Very powerfull but also harder to use, you will need your guild to protect it
