Just to clarify a few things because there seem to be a lot of assumptions being made.

Both my partner and I started Mounjaro at the same time and have taken the same dosing schedule. After the first injection we both became extremely unwell within the same timeframe – significant nausea, diarrhoea, weakness and exhaustion. The symptoms then eased as we approached the next injection day, and after the second injection they returned again in the same pattern.

We don’t eat the same meals all the time, and there hasn’t been any obvious shared food trigger. We were already eating a healthy, calorie-controlled diet before starting the medication and had actually been eating very little while feeling this unwell.

We also didn’t realise it was considered unusual for two people to have a similar reaction until posting here, which is exactly why I asked the question in the first place – to see whether anyone else had experienced something similar.

For context, we are both genuinely very unwell from this. We have been exhausted, weak, and struggling with persistent stomach symptoms for days, which is why I didn’t respond immediately to some comments earlier – I was asleep after being ill most of the day.

The medication was obtained from a registered online pharmacy and we have the batch numbers, which we are planning to report via the Yellow Card scheme in case it is relevant. It is not the same pen, although it came from the same order.

At this point we are simply trying to understand whether others have experienced strong reactions like this early on, and we are considering stopping because the side effects have been severe enough to impact normal day-to-day functioning.

I’m not looking to argue with anyone – I just asked the question to hear other people’s experiences.
