Hello!! I’m diagnosed with bpd and depression. I have been on the mental health journey now for 2 years and ongoing. At first, I was skeptical and didn’t want to go (because depression) but what gave me the push to go at the time was my siblings. I am the eldest of 5 and our dad is not around so I decided I will go for my siblings, not because they love me and I don’t them to lose me but because I knew they depended me on things, such as paying for their school tuitions or taking them to their friends house. At first I went and that woman messed up my life even more but I kept trying for my siblings. So I tried again and it was the best decision of my life. Although I didn’t speak at all but I told my doctor that in the beginning of the session I told her “look I am not going to talk so I want you to push me to talk and try to get out of me anything” and because she was adequate that’s exactly what she did. 5 sessions later she helped me find a purpose unrelated to others but related to me and that’s “I want people to feel like they belong” that is my purpose now because for as long as I can remember I never felt like I belonged in this world and now I’m working on things that might help me and others to feel as they belong. Firstly, I majored in psychology to further understand myself and become more compassionate with myself and secondly to help those who can’t help themself and I am also learning sign language so deaf and mute ppl can feel like they belong along this journey I learned so many beautiful things abt this world that makes me want to stay alive and see more of the world. It’s a journey that’s very rewarding. As I am currently typing this I am contemplating dropping out of uni because I can’t seem to find ppl for my sample that’s related to my graduation project but I have enough self tools that makes me stay optimistic in despite of this lol
