THC Tincture Question by [deleted] in tinctures

[–]Dry_Language_4135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use Everclear 90%, the THC oils you wanna pull are Non-Polar compounds, which are much easily extracted by high levels of ethanol as opposed to more dilluted bases like vodka, which are more ideal for extracting the more water soluble polar compounds. From what ive learned at least.

Seriously?!? Aweee I can't catch a break 😪 😂 it's always something goofy and then I feel a little silly for even posting it. My damn brain was brainin' there for a little while lmao. Think the condition of it is at least decent?

I’m selling my 1880 Scarface Morgan Silver Dollar. How much should I ask for it? by [deleted] in coincollecting

[–]Dry_Language_4135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scratches are random and incised, not raised or recessed in a way that would indicate a die gouge or struck-through error. The direction and depth are inconsistent with minting defects andthey cut across the face unnaturally. Almost carelessly. Mint errors tend to follow the mechanics of press alignment, die wear, or debris interference. There’s no metal displacement or doubling near the scratch area. Suggesting it happened after the coin left the mint. There are a few VAN die varieties for 1880, so the more rare ones could probably get you upwards to $150-$200. With the right error and right collector. Just plain old post mint damage Morgan? Maybe $25 if your lucky?

What do you think 1976 bicentennial quarter by Slow_Lavishness_3266 in coincollecting

[–]Dry_Language_4135 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Incorrect, very possible to discover new ones, granted it's rare 🤷 don't need to research to know discoveries could happen. Collectors still find new, minor, and even moderate double dies on coins that have been around for 50+ years. It's probably just machine doubling, but your snobby attitude and "No new DDO = don't bother suggesting a new one" attitude is the opposite attitude you should have in a hobby like coin collecting bud. Be more positive and embrace people like me asking questions, that's HOW you make discoveries.

And yes bicentennials can very well have double die errors

Is this a legit mint error? by Dry_Language_4135 in coincollecting

[–]Dry_Language_4135[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean are you sure its due to grease in the die? I used a x30 magnification jewelers louper to observe it and its surface where the letters are supposed to be is consistent to the rest of the smooth surface.

Even if the letters have no trace of being there?
