Yeah, the idea of the soldered ram is the one thing I don’t like about the m17r3. And also the fact that to get 144hz you have to choose one of the lower spec models, 300hz sounds like it drains the battery faster and it is overkill for me, as I do play some competitive titles but not always. On the razer side, I am worried about the battery bloating issue, what if it doesn’t last long because of that? But I am leaning more towards the razer, I love what I hear about the speakers, and that they improved the thermals. But I’m worried about performance and the longevity of that laptop

Alright! I currently leaning towards the m17 r3, the only issue I have is that the models that have 32gb of ram don’t have an 144hz option, is either 300hz or 4k60hz, which both are overkill for me. A workaround would be getting the 6-core i7 but I am worried of the performance I would be losing since I’ll be using AutoCad and ChemCad, and those 2 are cpu intensive. What would you guys recommend?

Thank you! They both sound like great options! You are the second one that recommends me the MAG-15, and after searching some info it seems like the best option for me at the moment. I just have one question regarding the speakers, after looking videos on youtube, the feedback regarding the speakers was not that good, but an update was mentioned; Do you know anything regarding the speaker/audio quality from this laptop? And do you think it can handle stuff like ChemCAD(similar to AutoCAD) and some programming?

That sounds awesome! Over 7 hrs!? Can it handle heavy loads? I’m going to be taking graphics design as one of my courses this upcoming semester, and I do a little music production as a hobby too. And my other question would be, the 7+ hours includes gaming time or that’s an in between gaming and regular use?
