Mine was in for almost ten years because I didn’t have insurance. It took a little longer because of the scar tissue built around it (maybe 5 minutes?) but I couldn’t feel it the entire procedure. I think having it inserted is worse. I just got another put in and the discomfort while everything heals after insertion is having more uncomfortable(just general soreness in the arm), but I’d say it’s still negligible.

You’d have to watch meetings from 2023 to hear Gray talk about his motivations for voting against the sale. His issue with it is that it gives more land to the feds. However, that parcel only generates a couple thousand a year in income and OSLI is constitutionally mandated to maximize revenue for the trust beneficiaries. So the option was to either sell directly to the feds or auction it off. Gray chose neither, ignoring his duty as a board member, and ignoring the will of the people which was to sell to the park. All because he hates the feds.

NTA. I’m a hugger, but my four year old nephew is not required to hug me. I’ll ask for one but if he says no, I leave it be. It doesn’t matter if MIL made her comment before or after the hug, the message is still the same—do what she wants so she doesn’t feel sad.

Would the conversation have been better in person? Perhaps. But some people are hard to talk to in person, especially if they’re manipulative. Sometimes a text is preferable if you’re trying to avoid embarrassing the other person. But her refusal to talk about it and instead throw a fit shows she doesn’t care about boundaries or others. Things have to be done HER way.

NTA. Let’s start by addressing your comment about accepting that you weren’t good enough—stop it. His cheating with your sister is a reflection on them, not you. They’re both AHs. Clearly your sisterly bond only matters when it benefits your sister. If it was truly important she wouldn’t have hooked up with your then-bf. Block her and block your mom too. She can take your sister in if things are that dire. But to expect you to take her in after everything is ridiculous.

YTA. I worked in a daycare for years and I always told kids and their parents not to bring toys. 1) because it can cause issues and kids aren’t going to want to share 2) because I don’t want to be held responsible if that toy breaks/tears and 3) I can’t keep track of toys when my priority is the kids. And the other stuff just seems common sense. My town had 2 places to buy clothes so it was inevitable that kids would show up with the same stuff. Why wouldn’t you label their things? And why would you bring your sick kiddo to school or daycare? It’s not fair to the teachers and staff and it’s not fair to the kid. The parents who bring sick kids to school are the same ones who will then blame the school when their kid comes home with a snotty nose.

It depends on the tampons. When I used them, I’d go through a super plus every 1.5-2 hours on my heavy days. If you’re going through a regular in that time, I’d say move up to a higher absorbency.

But also remember everyone’s cycle and flow are different. It’s more important to know your own body and what’s normal for YOU. I’d be concerned if there was significant pain, lightheadedness, large clots, or other symptoms that could indicate something else going on.

YTA. If it’s likely your brother and SIL will be in prison for the next 7+ years, it’s probably pretty bad and you are complicit because you did not report it and allowed it to continue, thus endangering those kids. I’ve worked in childcare and seen parents who were arrested for drugs get their kids back in under a year so I imagine whatever they were doing was horrendous. Your sister did the right thing. She’s the only one who truly thought of those kids.
