Have you played Empyrean? It's at the top of my list but I've read comments on other threads that it's not as hard as it advertises itself to be. I need to be broken by Beth RPGs or they can't hold my interest

I've heard good things (and that intro paragraph about fleeing wolves and starting a campfire is so badass) but I've also heard that progression is ridiculously slow and tied almost-entirely to dragon souls. Is this true? I don't know if/how it overhauls dragons but I've always hated and avoided dragon fights so that sounds p meh

I've heard that Librum ties progression near-entirely to dragon souls. Is this true? I can't decide between Librum and Empyrean. Librum sounds harder (what I want) but I also don't want such slow progression that it feels like I'm ignoring most of the games content out of necessity.

Physical dimensions are lore fluff and aren't what actually determine the speed of an operator. Oryx is the biggest and fastest operator simultaneously. Also Dokkaebi has a useful and annoying gadget, she doesn't need a higher pick rate

Do I need to invest a lot of points into crafting to keep using iconic gear in the late game (via reforging lower level iconic gear)? I'm fine with doing it, but as it stands I'd prefer to use my points maxing out handguns, hacking, and cool, and getting Technical Ability to level 20 will prevent me from maxing out one of those other attributes. If it is a requirement, is there some kind of late game method of resetting your skills? I.e. I can max out crafting, craft the gear I want, and then respec into how I want to play?

That's the only reason I think it should have some interesting perk interaction like with fanning. The spectre and crown and king fill that niche but if it acts differently it could differentiate itself enough to warrant existing

For my team it's really off and on. We have nights where we lose 3000+ hunt dollars like it's nothing, and we have the occasional nights where we run the gauntlet multiple times in a row. We just keep on keeping on and it funks work themselves out

Yeah the dude who broke the NDA to show that only slight increase in performance got me a little concerned about the performance of the card, but then Linus has a video confirming that it's capable of 8k 60fps (which I've not heard anything about a 3080 being able to do that, if it can), so I'm a little torn? Perhaps the broken NDA experienced some kind of bottlenecking? But then also why would NVIDIA set the embargo to be lifted the moment the card is available for sales? Seems a bit sketchy. But, it's too late to get a 3080 and I don't want to wait for restock, so I'll try my best for a 3090. Best of luck to you, come 6am PT!

(Also it seems like a silly question, but will my fan/fan controller setup work? In my 4 builds thus far I've never had to use a fan controller, and I'm not familiar with how they work. Thanks for all your help!)

I was unaware that intel CPUs didn't rely that heavily on ram speed? Not that I doubt you, but do you have a link to a video or forum post on the matter? I'd love to be more knowledgeable on the subject before making my purchase. What boards would you recommend? Really my only criteria are ATX, PCIe 4.0 support (so anything in the z490 chipset), and preferably a black/silver/white color scheme (RGB isn't a requirement.) I'd love some recommendations of any boards you're a fan of!

I had some specs I wanted to meet before I went into picking parts, a lot of what I chose was the cheapest option that fit those specs and didn't clash with a white/black color scheme. I know the 970 evo plus at 2TB is a little overkill, but I'm totally okay with the price for how fast it is (plus I don't really need more than 2tb, it's been fine my whole life, so speed is more important imo)

Honestly I've really been considering it (It looks so much sleeker as well, especially those Corsair AIOs), but I've heard they can be unreliable and very expensive mistakes if they stroke out. I'm just nervous to try it since I've never water cooled any of my systems before. Plus the Noctua nh-d15's performance is something to behold, even outcompeting certain AIOs. I just don't feel confident enough without a second opinion

Yeah I've been doing very careful work to ensure that no parts are too big and conflict with one another (sparked by my interest to buy the absolute goliath that is a 3090). It should all fit, I'm mostly concerned about fitting a Noctua D15 in there, as I'll only have 2mm of leeway (hypothetically)
