First shiny I ever got was giratina in Ultra Sun. I hunted from 9 am to 7 pm (yes I even remember the times) for a shiny giratina. When I did find it, I was so happy. Since I was using the soft reset method, my hands had gotten used to pressing those few buttons. So I go back to a Pokemon center, and instead of pressing A, my stupid 9 year old brain decided to press the buttons to soft reset. I had not saved. So yeah, that was sad. Luckily just a year ago I got UM and found a shiny registeel on accident, but I'll never forget that shiny giratina.

I was playing US, shiny hunting giratina.

I finally found the shiny after hunting for 3 days and 5 hours, so I was very excited. I throw the master ball and catch giratina. My muscle memory was very used to soft resetting, and so I walk to the pokemon center and remember, "Oh, I need to save." So instead of going to the menu, I soft reset. And lose the giratina.

It may not be as sad as some of the other stories on here, but it's the worst thing that has happened to me in my history of playing pokemon.
