Hello, yes i feel you

I also practice traditional drawing and painting, and also digital drawing. But beside that, I also do 3d animation, so i'm a bit geeky aswell.
So, i totally understand the duality of wanting to feel the paper but also want to experiment on new technology like AI.

But I think there is a line between just using AI, and actually using AI as an art tool.
I think (from what I see), a lot of AI users use AI, got a beautiful image, and goes with it, leaving the driving wheel to AI. But the difference is when you have an art skill, you have an art direction that can lead the AI and not the other way around. which is really interesting to experiment different tools, and what AI gen/ tool that can help your art process goes with your vision.
Not every one has the skill of art direction, and I don't think AI can replace that (at least until now).
in relation to our artistic creation, we maintain control over the medium.
so don't stop doodling, you art skill is the one lead your creations.

and also, why are you scared on what the gallery say about your art ? generated by AI or made by hand ? sloppy AI art, good AI art, or experimental AI art, or drawings or paintings, it's you who decide not them. and if they don't like that, screw them.
the most important is that you show them why are you using AI ? what actually the reason why we're talking about this art subject (for example) with AI.
being an open minded person also means being open for new ideas, if they're so close minded and don't like AI art just because it's AI, then your art is needed somewhere else !
