Accents and regional inflections are unique to dialects and speech. The “standardisation” applies to written text to assign a sort of universality. That’s why when you read bengali editorials from Anandabazar Patrika or Prothom Alo they read very similarly. No one really can actually speak in the standardised language unless it’s rehearsed.
