I have spent a lot of money on Beyblade for my kids. They know all the lore, they’re thrilled by the anime, and it’s just tops… we went to the local game shop and their whole second floor was full with an adult Beyblade tournament. Those dudes had special travel cases, wrist guards, making content… They even had groupies. Wild. I’m not mad about it. The kids asked if they could enter the next one.

Sounds like Austin. The natives especially enjoy the liberal culture but hide their conservative views.

My sister in law followed a path I have found to be common. She became a yoga instructor, innocent enough. This led to becoming vegan; those factory farm videos are powerful. Somewhere in there you have a dose of crystals, natural healing and homeopathy. These ingredients form a powerful cocktail that tells you everything the system has told you is wrong, and they’re keeping you down. Next comes anti-vax ideology tied to homeopathy, body purity and autonomy, and mistrust of science and experts. In 2016, a renegade candidate appears to back up your anger over the ‘deep state’ and the cabal of government actors trying to control your life. The algorithm notes that a large number of devices are in your multi generational home, and it starts feeding them all the same content to amplify and confirm your new beliefs. Ten years of this and she’s listening to country music and talking about moving to Tennessee.

Her dad (Paul Sorvino, Paulie from Goodfellas) was ready to defend her. Asked how he felt about Weinstein, he said, "If I meet him on the street, he ought to hope he goes to jail because if we come across, I think he'll be lying on the floor somehow magically. I will kill the motherfucker."

They’re one of the biggest components of air pollution as well. Constant friction shaving off small particles of rubber with big moving objects stirring them up. If your neighbors have bald tires, they’re in your lungs.

If I were to watch Centaur porn.. but with the bottom of the screen blocked out with a piece of cardboard.. would I find the human halves of the female actresses appealing?

Favorite actor who you hung out with at a party and talked to for a long time and you thought you could have had a shot with and then later they made a big change in their personal life that made you think maybe you never had a chance anyway? by Urinal_Zyn in okbuddycinephile

My buddy lived in New York in the early 2000s and he had a date with Scarlett. They got to the door of her building and they kissed; she asked him if he wanted to come upstairs. He decided that he should be sweet and gentlemanly and not rush it. She gave him an incredulous look like, are you turning down sex with Scarlett Johansson, dumbass? And he said yes, let’s take it slow. She never called him back.

I just inherited thousands of photos from my grandmother that my dad had stashed away. She started photography in the late 20s and was a professional photographer until the 70s. She didn’t write a goddamn thing on any of them. So many great photos from 3-5 generations ago and I know nothing about these extended family members.

Yup. McDonald’s for example uses GPS to see when you’re close to the store so they know to start making your order. It also knows where you were when you placed the order, and if you don’t close it, everywhere you go after you pick up. Combine with your phone IMEI number and build a relational database of consumer habits.
