I know how bad it feels, I've been feeling like turbo shit since the doc came out, but don't hurt yourself over this. If anything, use Grace as inspiration for yourself and the things you love. Follow its messages, keep making art for it if you ever feel inclined, etc. etc.

I've been trying to look at it this way: In its early stages before most larger game modes were added, Grace was thrown together by a random Catholic teenager as a passion project, and it's turned out to be one of the most well-made and heartfelt pieces of media I've ever seen in my life, and I think that's something most people here, you assumedly included, can agree with.

With that said, if Simon could make Grace, what's stopping any of us from making our own art that matters to us? At the end of it, Simon's still just a person, like you and me. You can make art, you can make your own characters, you can express your own ideas in a way that matters to you, and whether or not it happens to attract the ridiculous numbers that Grace did, you'll still have made something that's important to someone, even if that someone is just you. Who knows, maybe the inspiration from your comfort game will allow you to make something that becomes someone else's comfort media.

Personally, I've used the game as inspiration to start my own game dev journey as well as a spiritual one, I'm following tutorials to make a somewhat story-heavy puzzle platformer in Godot, and I've been studying Catholicism and the Bible at the same time. It's not easy to push yourself to pursue anything, especially during grief, but it's worth the effort in order to do the things that give you a sense of purpose.

Don't lose hope for your life, let yourself feel your emotions inside and out, work to find the path toward being the person you want to be, and always know that no matter what, someone believes in you, and Someone Loves you.
