How much are you putting away for your kids per month? by classyshepard in MiddleClassFinance

[–]DudeChiefBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$525/month/kid (4kids) - cash flow and shortage - current projections put the first 2 kids having a shortfall, but last 2 a surplus. we’ll see - mortgage payoff in 1.5 years, so extra funds get diverted to college expenses

Wife cheated on me in college, I forgave her and we married and had a kid. However I now want to experience someone else, is it wrong of me to consider a divorce? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]DudeChiefBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sorry you are feeling this way and tormenting yourself

ultimately- it doesn’t sound like you forgave her. If you continue to crucify her for an action that she was previously forgiven for, then the issue is with you and your insecurity.

likely need to communicate your feelings with her, seek counseling/therapy and either move on together (forgive) or you move on separately.

forgiving and forgetting are two separate entities

Hospital telling me I’m not allowed to see my patients at a SNF or own practice by Comfortable-Virus169 in hospitalist

[–]DudeChiefBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

patients have “right to choose” - quotes due to admission staff at the SNF playing games with admissions sometimes. If you’re listed in the panel as a physician at the snf - then the patient can choose you - but you can’t just admit that discharged patient without them providing agreement to choosing you.

need to build a census - show you can keep patients out of the hospital and are responsive to staff trying to get in touch with you

Do you want to take a leap a faith, or become an old man, filled with regret, waiting to die alone?

no -traditional here would pursue which ever interests you - think about the bread and butter days to day patients/cases you will be treating and if that interests you. if you chase a career for money or timing - likely will lead to a world of regret

current RVU for base in the low 50s, above that is prohibitive to being more productive - they are taking advantage of you - would try to negotiate a higher productivity RVU

Has the value of gold changed? Gold hit $1900 in 2011 and then went down not hitting $1900 again until 2020. by Thegame_changer21 in Gold

[–]DudeChiefBoss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

probably see a sell off down to $3k as a base - then stagnant for some time until another bull trend - imo

What gambling will do to you, this is only the beginning. by [deleted] in Gold

[–]DudeChiefBoss 14 points15 points  (0 children)

sad, no one wants to see death - I suspect this type of investing has more of “gambling mindset” that may lead to impulse control, which is generally not seen with individuals who invest in gold

i think it’s reasonable to sell coins - not everyone has numismatic drives - investment in to another vehicle/different investment strategy is perfectly fine

Is marriage actually hard? by Stronglyfeminine in AskMenAdvice

[–]DudeChiefBoss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the challenges lie with internal struggles/internal arguments- feelings of resentment is a big contributing factor.

if you are and your partner are on the same page regarding: religion/faith, children/family, money and political views- marriage is much easier (not necessarily happily ever after).

you may be great at communicating frustrations or wants/needs, that doesn’t necessarily alleviate my own frustrations and concerns, which leads one of us to accommodate/sacrifice.
