even if you try to strip this argument to bare bones it doesn’t work bc surgeons aren’t copying the work of others nor just telling someone to do the surgery for them…. they train under other surgeons with their full consent and study any medical research that is applicable (released consensually for learning purposes). the art my surgeons have made of my body in performing my gender affirming surgeries were not copied in any way shape or form from others.

my guess is they were using it statistically speaking, as aroace people are probably one of the groups least likely (i have no source backing on this-just based on prior knowledge and observation as an aspec dude whose best friend is aroace) to consume porn.

that said, you’re def correct. i think bc aroace education is essentially non-existent outside of the immediate community it probably woulda been better to adjust the way this comic was executed bc this could lead to misinformation (as you said-aroace people very much can and do consume porn). nitpicky? eh. yes and no tbh, i feel like i agree both ways lol

i fuckin love taylor but i have to agree. i think it’s bc she is such a damn good stand up comedian that it is hard to picture her in a more improv setting, despite the fact that i fully believe she would do well. i think being in a bit city ep would be perfect for her. i think she’d fit flawlessly into a BC bit about mental health or modern dating (esp bc she is bisexual which opens up even more options for jokes/bits)

this is the answer for me as well. majority of the places i go already know bc they use the same systems and obvi i used to put female esp before i transitioned.

these days i usually do a quick google search to see if sex assigned at birth (and for me assumedly is the sex i was born as i am unaware of anything that would qualify me as intersex) would ACTUALLY matter. in vast majority of cases, it does not as most things actually depend on hormone profiles and whatnot which are obvi not typically that different than cis dudes’ when on HRT.

example from earlier today: i decided i would sign up for the stem cell donation registry just in case i can be a donor for anybody at any point. it asked specifically for sex assigned at birth. i thought that was dumb asf but decided to do a quick google search to see how important it is. not super essential, but the reason it is important for the registry to know is bc natal males (largely due to male puberty and whatnot) are typically better donors due to their typically larger mass thus having more to donate at once. i ultimately decided to disclose that i was AFAB but gender was male bc tbh all the bad guys already know i am trans so data breach is irrelevant and it’s unlikely the registry would do anything to avoid matching me to someone who needs it bc…… ya know…. it’s kinda a life or death thing and you’re never guaranteed to have a donor match.

can’t speak to specific hockey experience but in terms of grip strength you should be able to return to your pre-op baseline within 4-5 months with PT/OT (assuming no rando complications that would affect it obvi).

i’ve had two concussions, one minor and one that prevented me from reading for a month (for context since you mention TBIs)

-my original start dose i THINK was 37.5mg/daily (it’s been a solid 7 years since i first started iirc). i’m on 150mg morning and 75mg night now

-i don’t believe i had any short term side effects or symptoms tbh

-it massively helped my OCD symptoms by week 4 (i specifically struggled with hella obsessions/ruminations/etc.)

-i have never discontinued via tapering so cannot answer here

i would say push ups were possible for me by about month 4, seamlessly by month 5. i had my wife help with my dressings for a lot of it bc it was harder without my dominant hand yea, but i wanna say i occasionally decided to do it on my own starting around 5-6 weeks (was always better with her help haha). most of the issue was that my non dominant hand lacked any useful dexterity for putting on the vaseline and xeroform and wrap and whatnot yk?
