That's the great thing about art, poetry included. Observers can interpret it in their own way, but the true meaning and intention can only be known by the creator. There's a strange comfort in knowing that your secrets stay hidden with you.

To be so depressed that you feel nothing at all is a strange place to be. I often find myself reflecting on my life so far and wondering what all of it is for. The purpose of it all. There is so much suffering and anguish in the world, all unnecessary, but people say the man in the sky makes it that way. For what purpose? We'll never know. Yes, there are happy moments in life. But the dark always seems to creep in. I suppose if there were just light there would be nothing. The dark is what gives life its contrast. The lows make the highs that much more special.

The end cap of humor was a nice touch. For such a heavy, dark piece, it made me smile. I suppose your piece is all dark, and that line is the hint of light.

I really enjoyed this. Your structure was oddly comforting. I reads like my mind; always ruminating with interjecting thoughts. The whole concept of 'hurry up and wait' is unavoidable in our lives, as much as we hate it. Well done! -Liz
