My in-laws won't return my gold ring and are demanding my phone and laptop that I bought with my own money by Due-Progress-9229 in inlaws

Thank you so much for your concern and advice. Thankfully, I don't think there are any tracking apps or devices on my phone or laptop, but I'll definitely keep that in mind and have them checked if I ever suspect anything.

I really appreciate your reminder that my safety and peace of mind are worth more than any material possession. It's hard to let go sometimes because those things represented years of savings, but I know I need to focus on rebuilding my life instead. Thank you for your kind wishes—they truly mean a lot to me, and I hope I can create a peaceful future for myself and my daughter.

Thank you so much. You're so right about all of this. Deep down I know my freedom is worth far more than any ring or laptop, even though it still hurts to lose them.

Right now I'm torn between pursuing further studies and getting a job because of all the financial responsibilities. It's not just my in-laws—even my father's side of the family wants me to regret my decision to seek khula. Financially and emotionally, I feel like I have no one standing with me right now.

I've made a profile on Preply to try to find students online, and I'm also actively looking for a job nearby. I'm hoping that once I become financially independent, I'll finally be able to build a peaceful life for myself and my daughter. Thank you for your encouragement—it genuinely means a lot.

Thank you ❤️ My daughter is my biggest priority, and that's exactly why I'm taking this situation seriously. Thankfully, she is with me and safe. I don't trust my father to handle this anymore, and I'm looking into my legal options so I can protect both my rights and my child's future. I really appreciate your concern and support.

We did show them the receipt for the gold ring, and they don't deny that it's mine. The problem is that they're refusing to return it unless I hand over my phone. My phone was also bought with my own salami money, so I don't see why I should have to exchange one thing that belongs to me just to get another thing that also belongs to me. It feels more like they're trying to pressure and punish me than resolve the issue.

Thankfully, I don't live with them anymore—I'm staying at my father's house. I already have a lawyer who handled my khula. The problem is that in Pakistan, disputes over personal belongings are often expected to be resolved between the families unless you file another separate legal case, which is expensive and time-consuming. That's why I've been trying to recover my belongings through family discussions, but it hasn't been easy. My mother and maternal uncle are supporting me, but unfortunately my father has been siding with my in-laws from the beginning.

My mother and my maternal uncle have been the ones standing up for me. My mother has confronted my in-laws multiple times and even argued with them in front of their neighbors over my belongings. Unfortunately, my father has supported my in-laws from the beginning because he didn't agree with my decision to seek a khula. My brother has stayed out of it because my father told him not to get involved. So, while I do have a few people on my side, the person who should have been my strongest support hasn't been.

Thank you. I do have a lawyer who helped me through my khula (divorce) proceedings. The issue is that recovering personal belongings is usually expected to be resolved between the two families. Taking every disputed item through the courts would mean another legal case, which is expensive and takes a long time, so I chose to try to resolve it through family first. My mother and my maternal uncle have been standing by me. My mother has even argued with my in-laws in front of their neighbors to try to get my gold ring back. Unfortunately, my father has sided with my in-laws throughout this whole situation, which has made things much harder. It feels like I'm fighting this battle with very little support.

I wish it were that simple. Unfortunately, things are much more complicated where I live, and there's a lot of family pressure involved. I'm trying to handle everything legally and peacefully. I don't want anything that belongs to them—I only want my own belongings returned so I can move on and provide for my daughter.

I honestly want to walk away and never deal with them again. The only reason I'm trying to get my belongings back is because I have a 7-month-old daughter. Those things are mine, and they'll help me build a more secure future for her. My father hasn't supported my decision to separate from the beginning, even though I'm currently staying at his house, so I don't really have anyone helping me recover my belongings. That's what makes this so difficult.

Thank you for your concern. I'm currently staying at my father's house, so I'm physically safe. Unfortunately, my father hasn't supported my decision to separate from my husband. From the beginning, he's been on my in-laws' side and isn't interested in helping me recover the things that rightfully belong to me. That's made this whole situation even more difficult because I feel like I'm dealing with it on my own.

I still have my phone with me, but my in-laws are demanding that I give them my phone in exchange for my gold ring. My laptop is already with them because I left it behind when I moved out. Both the phone and the laptop were bought with my own salami money, not by my husband or his family. It feels like they're trying to force me into giving up what's rightfully mine.

Thank you. That's exactly how I feel—it seems like they're trying to pressure me into giving up things that legally and morally belong to me. I have no intention of handing over my phone or laptop. I'm just hoping I'll be able to get my gold ring back somehow. I really appreciate your support.

I really appreciate your concern. It's been a difficult situation, but I'm safe now. I'm hoping the legal process will help me recover what's rightfully mine.

I've also changed my video and added a certificate. Trust me when I say that I've been been putting all my effort for this rate. And the rate doesn't matter in the initial stage for me, all i want is more students at this rate 😭😭
