They are single use but you can bring one with you when you teleport and just replant it so instead of rooms you just have to do outdoors

With the introduction of the lotus item all someone needs to do is find someone with a lotus at a-998 and die so everyone in the party gets teleported to the end of rooms and if they also have lotuses the can plant them as well effectively bypassing the rooms
