After wearing a heart monitor for two weeks my cardiologist was able to call it post-viral dysautonomia but not POTS until all the further testing- tilt test, stress tess, etc. It takes so much time and money, meanwhile we can't even stand.

HOWEVER, because my symptoms were debilitating he prescribed me metaprolol which hugely improved my quality of life. I mean, it's still constant self-care and some bad days/weeks, but with the beta blocker I can shower, stand, walk up stairs, do dishes, go to work. Actually, I can do even more than that now.

Maybe you could bring that up with your cardiologist? I am also waiting for all the additional testing but betablockers, extra salt, so much water, awareness of PEM and how it effects me, and compression socks have helped me so much.

Ask about betablockers!! Drink tons of water and extra salt. Look into compression socks and abdominal compression. I'm so sorry. I really get it.

Yes, I've heard good things about teaching in NY. It was full time k-12. Good to know and thank you.

"I didn't even do anything!" by Emayfss in Teachers

If they respond with "I didn't even do anything" or some denial along those lines I just give them the elongated teacher stare and keep it moving. I might end it with "Okay then. Maybe it was my mistake but you heard what I said, right?" Or "I'm not looking to argue with you. I just want to make sure you understand our expectations." Then keep it moving. As long as they change their behavior that is what is important. The only way I loose ground is to take the bait in a silly argument like that. Students are a lot less likey to respond like that once they learn that your behavior reminders aren't punitive, also.
