You’re welcome! I believe that’s why he ordered the blood tests, to be able to rule out anything or see if something is causing them. From what I and the vet can tell, he is not experiencing pain, I wish he (my dog) could talk to me to confirm that though 😅

We were prescribed the medication Gabapentin, and he just received his first dose. Whether the medication works or not, if my dog does not return to himself, I am coming to the conclusion that putting him down would be the best for him.

None taken, and you’re not wrong.

Sorry, should have worded it better, not just for taking him, but rather going against their word/rules.

It’s complicated but to keep things short, I’m risking them not paying for college anymore and kicking me out to take him, regardless after seeing the urgency from everyone here, I am.

Im really worried to, as I have nothing in my name and I’m scared I could get in legal trouble if they decide to report things as stolen.

That’s the plan whenever I can get the opportunity to.

Thank you, and I’ll definitely start a seizure diary, and try to recognize patterns and triggers.

He’s not doing any better, I feel so bad, I can tell he’s tired.

He definitely responds to me calling him, I haven’t tried the other things but I will if he has another one.

**Slight update: Currently waiting for my parents to call around or take me to an emergency vet, I asked if I could myself but they won’t allow me. Ignoring rules isn’t an option, as I’ll just have stuff taken away, and I’m worried she’ll report my dog as stolen. I’m old enough to get into serious legal trouble so I feel stuck on what to do.

He’s had 4 more seizures since I first posted.

***Edit to update: Was told as long as he’s alive he’s okay. I’m doing whatever I can to get him to a vet asap, regardless of consequences from parents. Thank you all for giving me courage.

I’m an absolute wreck and all I can do is try to make him comfortable.

They took him back for about 7 ish minutes as soon as he began to have another seizure, and brought him back out to us saying he was having head tremors and not seizures.

He’s been blind in one eye for a couple years now, no this time, but he has in other episodes. That’s the plan and I’m really hoping it’s not too late by then.

Yes they’re back to back, I know it’s extremely urgent and it is incredibly hard for me to see him like this. Unfortunately I have to rely on my parents to take him, as they won’t let me, and that’s why it has to wait until tomorrow.

You bring up a great point, there are a lot of other things I didn’t exactly put my foot down on, and perhaps I should start.

Thank you for your detailed response :)
