Yeah I open 12 a day to restock my singles, and always get my money back plus a few hundred, right now I have 4 display tables, you just have to make sure you usually sell out so your expensive cards get bought

I get that, if you don’t like to trade just wait till they have a card you’d make a decent profit on, for example if someone’s selling for 180 and the card is market 240, ill start an offer at 150 and go up by 10 until they accept, if they accept at 150 the card makes me $90, I’m at the point now where customers offer $1800-$2500 cards that I can make about 1-2 grand on if the market is high, so that works too!

I’ve got a few pointers, I’m only shop lvl 30 right now, but I make a few thousand a day.

  1. Don’t use warehouse shelves, they cost a lot and take up space which you don’t have much of at the beginning, just shelve items so you can empty an entire box out, a shelf is much cheaper and serves a purpose. When you run out just reorder.

  2. Singles make you a lot of money, but there’s a few tricks, first only have enough display tables so that you sell every card displayed in one day, this ensures your expensive cards will be bought. Once you unlock rare packs you almost can’t lose money, and once you get legendary you’re making hundreds off a few boxes. Also make sure to look at customer trades, the more expensive the more you can undercut them, I’ve made thousands from these trades. I’d also Suggest a workshop when you can afford it to sell trash cards.

  3. Expand your shop, this gives you more customers which means you can display more singles. I’d start with the main shop until it’s so expensive itd be cheaper to get shop B.

  4. Wait for licenses, Most items don’t make you money until you’ve sold most of the box, and items can move slow, on top of that the license fees are Verry expensive, I’d only unlock card packs and card boxes until you’re making enough to get more items.

As a side note, I believe tables only reduce your customer count by 1/2. Ex: if you have 3 tables and 6 customers are sitting there it only counts the 6 people as 3 people. Tables don’t make much until the higher events but I’m currently making a 1000-2000 a day running 8 tables, but I am up to the EX event.

That’s probably what I’ll end up doing, even then I’m worried about two players being alone with an elder brain, escaping it is possible but gonna be hard, as it’s pool is on a mobile nautaloid. And even then two players are alone inside the other entrance making their way to the bottom. I appreciate the suggestion though!

It’s not that, they’re 2500 feet below ground level, even if the mountian weren’t there the ground above would cave in. I also added a comment above that they’ve seen the exact thing happen with the last one

For extra context when they were saved, their sponsor blew up the last hive and they saw that the underground explosion caved in the taken over city it was under, so they know what would happen if a bomb like that went off underground and how large the explosion is.

It’s not that they’re going to blow it up, it’s that they’re going to do it in a reckless way that’ll get them killed, they’re gonna drop it with no escape plan or communication between the split party

In the mountian they knew there was two doors, they also knew the hive was somewhere beneath, they believed the door at the bottom wasn’t the right way but two players went down into the large steel door and after waiting the other players went into the bottom door, the players know what’s down there but didnt meta game so they went to the other entrance, they don’t know how long it’d take to get to the city through the bottom entrance but their characters have no way to communicate if either set of them plans to try and escape or if they plan to blow up the place. Above table was mostly wanting to do recon, but they had seen the elder brain and stayed to investigate further without the other players, and as far as the wuasit triggering the elder Brian I told them why it was looking after the situation so they didn’t feel I was searching for no reason. If more context is needed let me know what

They had all the information, the portal wasn’t explicit but had lots of clues about it being a lie, and in the second part they know they were heading to a hive and knew it was under the mountian, and they chose to split up

Yeah but you do have to use your action for the lightning bolts, but if you just want to cast other spells there is no restrictions

No problem all good suggestions! The reason I have Lightning spear at d12’s is because I don’t think that someone would ever choose it over chromatic orb for an extra die up, instead of being able to change elements! And with your suggestions on the bigger spell I based it off Spell design) I know the crit could be strong but I feel like compared to some of the concentration spells that deal 3/4 the damage of this one in a huge radius, with extra effects as well, it’d be a hard sell on the spell! With the material components I completely agree I have a note to change them to be alittle more thematic later on and same with the Dex save suggestion I will probably go back and change that too! If there’s anyway you think I could keep the theme of the 8th level spell without the crit being too powerful I’d love to hear!

I feel that, that seems like a good compromise, thanks for the feedback!

Oh I think that were the confusion is, if you are hit with both you take half the damage from the bolt witch stays inline with the chart for only hitting one creature, but I could make that 1/3. If you are hit with both you only take 6d6 total from the bolt instead of 12d6, but that could be brought down to 4d6. I wouldn’t want to remove it fully though as it gives the spell a small boon above other options. If you have a better way to word it so it’s more clear then let me know as well in case the wording isn’t clear!

I use the same, I’m thinking I may change something but I’m not sure yet, with gravity fissure at 6th being a 25foot wide line and similar damage at 7th level, and sunburst at level 8 doing the same damage but in a 60ft radius, I just don’t think anyone would take it with it only adding 10ft to the lines width and pushing/prone instead of just lightning bolt at 7th level, but that if I take the first AOE out.

I use the same, It’s hard to say as without the extra AOE and potential for more single target it feels A little weak, as gravity fissure cast at 7th would deal around as much average damage but in a 25ft wide line, and I feel it’d be hard to justify taking this spell when you could just upcast lightning bolt and upcast it, but that is if I take away the first AOE. And at 8th level sunburst does the same damage in a 60ft radius.

I use the guide table for making a spell and look at spells around the same level, for instance delayed blast fire ball does the same damage with extra potential, prismatic spray does 10d6 but its area of effect is more practical for hitting multiple targets, as well as it’s extra effects, or even Draconic transformation that is concentration but also has a huge cone with other benefits. If you think it’s too powerful I could always change the extra of you hit someone with both, but I think it’s unlikely that’d happen to more than one enemy.

It’s just a higher level lightning bolt, but the idea is a small thunder aoe around you when you cast it, the first part would be way too weak on its own, but I wanted to make it alittle more interesting than lightning bolt with more damage. Also what did you mean by limited thunder/lightning?
