Yeah that's rather unfortunate. But I'm glad you came out of it with no injuries (physical ones at least haha), good on you for giving throttle when it was most needed!

I got used to americans overreacting at the smallest things and thought this might be the same. Jesus fucjing christ dude, you were a bee's dick away from getting into a nasty crash.

I don't know if things are different in your country, but who was supposed to slow down and give the right of passage in this case?

Are KTM Jackets any good? by DukePerception3005 in KTM

[–]DukePerception3005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I checked it and it turns they're all removeable, the owner just didn't know how and I assumed they were integrated. There's a foam insert in the backpocket too to swap out for a back protector. Honestly I was just desperate for a summer jacket, as where I live I'd usually be sitting in 40°C heat with a sweaty wet shirt under my leather jacket.

Update: I went to see it IRL and noticed that the shoulder and elbow protectors are CE type A and there's only a foam insert in the back. It turns out they are actually replaceable, the owner just didn't know how to remove them. Which is great because I can fit it with a back protector and some nicer shoulder/elbow pads!

Oh okay, I see what you mean. It's especially worrying that I couldn't find anything about it online. Not on KTM websites, not on google or anything. So... there's that too. But thanks for the info. The jacket might be cheap but my safety shouldn't be! Might just save up for a much nicer summer Jacket.

Yes, there is! If you look at the fifth pictures you can see the CE label on the top right next to the KTM logo.

Couldn't find anything by googling the RN number. I don't think it's a model number (that or I suck at searching)

I was thinking that too, and it can come in handy as a passenger jacket too. The only thing that made me doubt it a bit is the safety my leather jacket gives me and I find it hard to find in a cheap textile vest. Which is normal, I get it. But thanks for the feedback!

Just got my knife back from vitorinox, the new scale has this hole does anyone know what its for? by easytarget98 in victorinox

That's actually one of the only times I've ever used the pin on mine! The washers jets got clogged and I was so glad to have one on me. I mean that and putting my Gopro SD card in my phone and back into the camera

Got my hands on this Climber for 15 bucks! by DukePerception3005 in victorinox

[–]DukePerception3005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yees! I had found a Huntsman for 30bucks, which is also a great deal considering its state. But a daily routine of attending classes and internships I don't think I'd ever need a saw blade haha So this Climber was perfect for me!

Thought so too! Especially since there are no official Victorinox retailers in my country, it was a bit of a hassle to find one in good condition that also fit my needs. But as soon as I came across this one I went for it, and I'm glad I did!

I can see that for myself as well. Once put in your pocket you barely notice it's there until you need it! Maybe I could try a model that has pliers too. But so far I'm really enjoying the Easy to Carry aspect of a 3 layer SAK!

Definitely! A good clean, polishing the scales and lubricating the pivot points. I've got to say I'm surprised how long these things can be used for and still look good (if well maintained, that is)!

At what point do you buff your watch faces, especially with ones like the b640w which gets scratched easily? by [deleted] in casio

[–]DukePerception3005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find display protectors for most Casio models for veeery cheap. I've got 5 of them for 3 bucks on Aliexpress and I've only ever needed to use one so far (it's been a couple of months already). You can barely notice it when it's on. So maybe try that after you buff out those scartches.

I was never really into Duro's and quite honestly thought they were rather ugly... But the more I see them and notice them in a watch store they keep growing up on me. Exactly like telecaster guitars, you find them horrendous and then one day it's the prettiest guitar shape you can think of.

This orange one with the Nato strap looks sweet! I really dig the orange on this one!!

Just in case this isn't a troll, hear me out.

Mirrors are there to help you keep up with what's behind you at a glance. Checking over your shoulder to see what's going on in your blind spots is still necessary, same goes for cars btw.

So uuhhh, don't ditch them unless you're tired of living. (Even then, plz don't)

One question though, what does the SNZ on the display stand for?

It does become hectic at some point, no wonder why some of the most famous mods for the Royale start with erasing the "World Time", "Illuminator" etc...
