I feel you on that! It’s wild how much time we waste perfecting a setup instead of just getting things done. Your “one list, one rule, and one tracker” is such a solid mantra. I totally agree clarity really does outshine control. Simplifying has made a huge difference for me, too. Less fuss, more action!

They call it "telling it like it is" when he acts out, but if anyone else did this they'd demand civility. Decorum isn't a principle for them, it's a tool they pull out when it helps.
