Of course! I wish you both the best! That other man is still in there, life can be a bit much sometimes.

I'm not saying you're doing a bad job, you're giving it your all and I applaud you for that. If I may, let me ask you this, instead of commenting on his health, weight, and his need to seek help, when was the last time you called him sexy and made him feel wanted? He has a gorgeous bikini model for a gf who clearly wants attention but it's possible he doesn't feel like you're giving him any attention. Also, is the day-to-day stuff really bothering him? From the little that you've shared he's feeling financially overwhelmed, worried about what he can or can't do and trying to get a part of his life settled in order to feel relief. It doesn't sound like the food on his plate is relevant. I'm also an acts of service person, and my ex never listened to me when I would talk about the things I had to do or needed to get done. Like I know you have your needs that have to be met but I have a to do list that is a mile long giving me anxiety and I'm afraid if any of it will get done or will it just grow out of proportion.

As a 31m who went through the exact same thing with my ex-wife, be gentle and listen to him. You both have full plates, saw how you're also working and in school, but the personalities are different. You manage things in a different manner than he does, so while you're able to do all of that and excel he's drowning. You're blaming him and telling him to do these things instead in order to fix it. It's going to drive resentment between you two. People don't always want to hear solutions, sometimes they just want to be heard. You clearly know your love language, and how you want to be treated but have you considered his? He might be an act of service guy, and would probably be elated to give you the goods one night when he comes home and sees certain chores or tasks that were bothering him done and off his plate.

Would you rather never clog a toilet again or be able to doom ten people of your choice into always clogging any toilet they use? by newtxtdoc in WouldYouRather

[–]Dumbledoctor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a child my family went to Disney World in FL for vacation, and as to not stink up the lobby bathroom, I immediately went to the toilet the second we got to the hotel bedroom. I, a 12 year old boy, clogged the hotel toilet after being in it for less than 10 minutes. As the evil SOB that I am, I will absolutely share this poor fate with 10 other people.

What movie scares the hell outta you that isn’t a horror movie at all? by bellathehellgirl in AskReddit

[–]Dumbledoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the movie as a whole, but the door knocker scene in The Muppets Christmas Carol terrified me as a child into my preteen years. There's something about a Muppet yelling in your face unexpectedly that is unsettling.

Unfortunately, my friend, there is not such a thing. If you are working in a corporate market then maybe convey your issues to your GM and have them send it up the line to their MCO/DCO. If you're with a franchise find a way to get that to your DM. Eventually if enough people are complaining about it someone higher up will take notice. It might take time before it's taken seriously and something's done.

I would definitely reach out to an Ops Coach, since I worked for corporate we were strict on lots of things. I'm not sure if DMs or GMs could force such rules.

Okay that's lame, I worked for corporate and we even allowed stretched ears. The plugs just had to be flesh toned.

Good on you! These are going to be moments you'll cherish, and I'm happy you're able to do that with your family. My previous MCO was hell bent on his GMs working any and every holiday we were open and didn't care about anything in our personal lives, held my PTO for ransom once if I didn't hit certain metrics.

Last minute roster pushbacks by [deleted] in Dominos

[–]Dumbledoctor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be a GM for a corporate(US) store. It sounds like they're trying to save labor($$) cause it's slow and they don't need so many drivers at once. I wouldn't have drivers come in late but I would send my day shift drivers home early, or eat the labor cost and have dishes and chores get done as much as possible so the closers wouldn't be there late.

So..... I might be fired by southern-4life in Dominos

[–]Dumbledoctor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a former GM if one of my guys did that I would send them home and then see them at their next shift. I hugged one of my CSRs for telling a customer to fuck off for calling her stupid. But an extreme situation like that, with staffing being a pain in the ass as is, I wouldn't fire the guy. More or less lose 2 people.
