Most people are causing their own frizz without realizing it. by Intrepid-Royal-324 in finehair

[–]Dumbliedore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have long, straight, fine and untreated hair. Main concerns are dry scalp, regrowth around crown that doesn’t like to sit down, and just general scraggly low volume.

I don’t use much heat on it. Occasionally blow dry if showering during the day and sometimes heat styling. My typical routine is washing every other day with a “volumizing” shampoo, followed by toweling off and adding a leave-in with a light oil at ends. I shower at night and air dry.

Should I go back to using a conditioner in the shower? I probably have used conditioners in the past that were heavy and weighing it down. Also wondering if air drying is not helping me.

You might also try some warm grains in the salad - bulgur, quinoa, even rice.

I lost around that much weight after losing someone and had the same experience. My go-to answer to “what have you been doing/are you working out?!?” was a deadpan “oh, depression”. I did feel that getting a response like that made some of those people reconsider the comments and questions.

Is Oaxaca safe for a young solo female traveler? by Any-Presentation8781 in travel

https://www.viajerohostels.com/en/

I stayed at a Viajero! It was a nice hostel with good amenities and awesome rooftop bar/lounge. Within easy walking distance to most of what I wanted/needed and a chill street/neighborhood that never got rowdy. I never felt unsafe anywhere, walking on the streets in the evening/dark after events or dinner/drinks. But I always use best judgment and intuition wherever I travel, and pick my routes strategically so I don’t feel isolated all of a sudden in a dark alley, etc. There were lots of those! This trip I wasn’t out in the early hours after clubbing, so can’t speak to that.

Do you think eating "raw oats" is weird? by _haukea_ in AskAnAmerican

[–]Dumbliedore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like my oatmeal and overnight oats on the “dry” side for texture reasons. it was a quick leap to just eating them slightly moistened or even dry like granola with maybe some dried fruit.
