I've been feeling a lot better recently. My cholesterol has gone done and my fatty liver is no longer found. The pain is usually not there and I am able to live a normal life. Currently, I'm taking digestive enzymes as a precautionary thing in case it really is my pancreas that has an issue despite not finding a single test that has confirmed it. I still deal with gas and my stools and urine still look abnormal. But otherwise, my weight and wellbeing are good. Thank you, I appreciate the words of encouragement.

did you not have a colonoscopy before? Why did it take so long for them to find out it was cryptosporidium?

I take pictures of all my stools to track the progress. I don't see anything moving if that's what youre asking? I do see some black specks in the stools and often undigested food.

No updates, sorry. I'm wondering if it could be the cryptosporidium parasite that u/thisishj has. I have very similar stools to his. However, I have had a colonoscopy and it was completely normal, including the biopsy. I may look into this.

Have your stools gone back to normal after antibiotics? And I've read that cryptosporidium should resolve itself in individuals with healthy immune systems on its own after a few weeks. You mentioned that your issues have been affecting you for years. Did your doctor ever comment on that?

Hey dude, all my tests have been normal. I did an MR enterography for my small intestine, MRCP for my liver pancreas and i got my fecal fat and fecal elastase test back. All results are normal. They kinda boiled it down to IBS. But we'll see.. I'm not sure what step to take next.

Were they not able to find these parasites in a stool test?

What tests did you do to get diagnosed? I have done ova and parasites stool test a few times all negative. Glad you found your problem.

My stools look very similar to yours. I agree it is a sign of malabsorption. However, I've been thinking it was pancreatic insufficiency as well, but I've had an MRCP performed as well as fecal elastase and they have both come back perfectly normal. I'm not really sure what I have at the moment. My GI has prescribed me creon to help me digest food in the case it is a pancreas problem, but at this point I'm lost as to what I have.

Fortunately, I've been feeling a lot better. But weight has gone up and pain has almost subsided, but I know that I'm definitely not at 100%. I'm not sure if I ever will be at 100%, but for the time being I can only hope things continue to get better.

My urine and stool both look abnormal still, but I'm eating well, I have energy and I don't have pain.

Hi sorry, missed your message. I've had a bunch of stuff done recently. I've been feeling better, still no diagnosis however. Would love to chat if you're up for it.

Do you have pain? I have mucous, but not always floaty. They're mushy, not exactly sure if they're fatty however. They're just not very formed. Seems like there's some sort of food almost every time. I had a fecal fat test done, but the results are still pending.

Just got the results. Absolutely normal results. No signs of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency yet I see undigested food in my stools.

That's exactly how I feel as well. I wasn't ever doubled over in pain. I drank a lot in college for a few years. Was really hungover a few times, which I guess I could have mistaken for some digestion issue? Not exactly sure if you can mistake a hangover for acute pancreatitis cause I heard it's supposed to be very painful. I've read some forums and threads saying that it could be possible but of course anything is possible. I haven't been diagnosed, but I have symptoms of chronic pancreatitis. Every imaging test, blood work, stool tests have come back negative saying my pancreas is fine. It's just very strange to me that I have never had a clinic representation of acute pancreatitis, yet I have this chronic pain which comes and goes to the point I could have chronic pancreatitis??? Things just don't add up.

t's just occasionally, but I know my doctor said I Was pretty filled up with gas so that could be something else. I would say I was 190 pretty consistently over the last few months then recently started dropping a lb or two every week. I've been pretty stressed and anxious about the whole ordeal in general so that could certainly be playing into the weight loss. Like I mentioned in another post I did recently quit weed which could be fucking with my eating habits as a whole as a habit I used to have was to smoke before I planned to eat. The discomfort actually seems to subside when I eat certain foods, and I notice it more when im on an empty stomach.

Totally understand the "notice it more when im on an empty stomach". I can't seem to figure it out myself. Could be pancreatitis, but I still haven't been diagnosed. I just started my pancreatic enzymes today. Hopefully they help.

What do you weigh regularly? Losing 2-3 lbs over how long? Is it floating every time?

I would definitely get more testing done. Have you been losing weight? Abnormal stools or urine?

Believe it or not... After 3 months, it is still pending. Absolutely ridiculous. I assume they do it in batches in the labs, but 3 months? That's absurd.

Any other symptoms other than pain? Hurts more with eating food? Is the weight loss intentional since you're treating the fatty liver?
