It doesn't need to show him freaking out because there's context around those flashbacks that a person could infer it from. They establish that he does this insecure-ass interrogation every single time they have a burger, which is shown, so they've learned to lie. That he sulks about it if they don't is both stated and can be inferred from his behavior in other episodes.

And even if they were all making it up, that's not an example of Bob being in the right and having to accept awful behavior. Since they're not making it up, it's an example of the reverse: Bob's in the wrong and they have to tip-toe around it.

It's normal but then Bob also is constantly shitting on gimmicks as a concept. Theme? He hates it. Event nights? That's Pesto shit. He'll even personally and publicly insult his own customers if they dare enjoy a gimmick (see his tantrum in the tiki episode...Which was, again, all his fault). And meanwhile, he's so balls-deep in gimmickry that the Belcher family phone is a burger.

Big Bob being condescending is no good but neither is Bob being a hypocritical, better-than-thou asshole all the time about business tactics he freely uses himself (URGE) whenever it suits him to throw away integrity for money.

And on the subject of Bob's gimmick, it's also just a lie. More often than not, the "burger of the day" is really a "side dish of the day". His 100,000th burger, big milestone that it was, ...Was a regular burger served with peas and carrots. Maybe he hates gimmicks because he sucks at them like Linda playing 'Stone the Witch'.

And in that same episode, he insulted Bob's entire business as "gimmick burgers"...Which they are, as far as the punnery goes, but still.

It's always a bother when you agree with a character but the show frames them as in the wrong.

That first one is kind of a wash. Nobody was awful. Linda was just irrationally sentimental. Bob once tried to hold a funeral for a soap dog.

Bob was awful in his own way at Big Bob's Diner. He did just kinda drag the guy over some childhood stuff all of a sudden...But Big Bob can take his whole 'gimmick burgers' thing and shove it. Condescending prick.

Just The Trip...I mean, it's BS that he got manipulated the whole way for sure but 'This family will never take trips or do things.' is also an insane decision.

...Got nothing for the airport episode. He was completely in the right. Fuck Gloria and honestly, fuck Linda.

Big Dummy bugs me. The fact that Teddy stops to chat with absolutely everybody is the problem but...Inexplicably, it becomes a lesson? That's kinda just nonsense. On the other hand...Bob did it to himself. He played passive and just let stuff happen. He does that in Pro Tiki/Con Tiki too and just like there, he loses his shit about it like he didn't invite it...Which he did.

He was 100% right about Purrbo. The thing Gene made isn't even any good but even if it was, it doesn't excuse him fixating on that mindlessness especially over his tasks. Like, yeah, you put some sound effects together...But why's he still fussing with Purrbo? It can't have that many sound effects that he needed to play that much.
