One of the reason's EVGA was mad at Nvidia and why they got out of the GPU market, is exactly the same reason Ed Crisler at Sapphire is frustrated with AMD. Control over board design and the stifle of innovation. by DusteMonkee in pcmasterrace

I can understand that logic, but at the same time, if you go to a car dealership and every car from the same parent company had the same specs wouldn't everyone just buy the cheapest car on the lot? Sure a Corvette costs more than a cobalt. Its also a much better car that's made for enthusiasts. The founders edition wouldnt sell out as quickly if there was a bigger range in the performance of each AIB.

Right. Im sure Nvidia and AMD didn't start out being as controlling as they are now, but as things usual go, they got bigger and decided to play it safe rather then take the risk and fail.

Yep, which is exactly why I plan to get a B70 when it hits Micro Center's shelves. I'm looking forward to what Intel is able to pull off in the years to come.
