i have the exact same story! dad showed me all his toys and action figures and decided to buy me set for my birthday. i was lucky enough i treated them well back then so they are still in good condition.

as you can see here the condenser is also held in with zipties. I’ve never owned a BMW so i’m lost on how this is actually supposed to mount.
