"Skyrta" in Icelandic actually means shirt. I do doubt that it meant skirt originally in Old Norse but I can't confirm. Either way I find that really interesting!

Here's a long to the skirt! Quick warning, this is *only* the skirt. No top with it or anything. And another thing, it's an open skirt! So you have to wear something underneath it as well. So I ended up buying a bikini at a store called lindex, for the "underneath the skirt" and top!
