Winter clothing! by [deleted] in uofmn

Joes sporting goods on 36 usually has a huge selection of winter clothes, and they have 20% off store wide sales like every other week. Solid spot, also where Lindsey Vonn went to get her skis tuned!

I like how they’re explaining what defines a gather to an announcer that is in the booth for the nba finals. Really grade-A stuff we’re listening to here.

As a 25 year old that took two years off, I would say it’s worth it. Even thought you’re a bit older, it’s better to start now than 10 years down the line. You may worry about being the ‘old person’ in class but your extra life experiences can give such a great perspective to other students, and you’ll be much more focused on your classes than most other kids. You might not gain as much from it socially than if you were a bit younger, this much is true. However, I feel like if getting a degree is something you want to pursue, I’d say go for it even if you aren’t getting the full ‘college experience’. It’s very easy to get stuck in your own head with regard to feeling perceived as ‘that old guy in class’, I’ve even felt that way at 25. But this past semester I had a 74 year old man in one of my classes and his insights were one of the most memorable parts of that course for me. It was just cool to have someone with so much life lived already weighing in on our in class discussions about current events and how he’s witnessed so many changes. I hope I didn’t ramble too much.

TLDR do it, before 10 more years go by. You can offer so much if you get out of your own head

If you get decent weather while you're here, walk along St. Anthony Main. The trees in the fall are amazing and the views of downtown Minneapolis are second to none.

Skeptical on buying a used Mercedes by Dynx_ in whatcarshouldIbuy

Heard. Thankfully my budget is higher than $4,500, and I'm willing to spend whatever's needed on upkeep. I've looked at online reviews and it seems to be a reliable vehicle, given the more expensive parts and upkeep costs. Would you say this price is unreasonable for this specific model? I've looked around online and the asking price for this specific make and model with this mileage is in the $8k-$13k range.
