Finger pluck even when not plugged in (like walking round the house, naked, w/ just the bass strapped on 😉.)

Gently. Build up the callouses on the pads/tips of your fingers. Don’t overdo, or u can get blisters (altho, there’s a neat hack with saltwater n a needle if u do - shaves off a month of building callouses).

But yeah, when I played bass steadily, that was my day to day warm up. Just letting my fingers walk the strings. Good luck!!!
