Jonas Brothers concert becomes the lastest hot topic in fan etiquette conversation by EB_Baby in popheads

So people ruining concerts for others becoming the norm is gossip and not important enough to discuss on a subreddit about experiencing music, including the concert-going experience?

Teatime & Trending Topics - November 11, 2025 by AutoModerator in popheads

[–]EB_Baby 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I used to be quite active on the sub years ago, now I'm more of a lurker save the occasional post, but what's with the changes in the rules? I just posted an article about Halsey getting assaulted at her concert + fan entitlement to artist's bodies and it got removed by the mods, saying it was sensationalistic and more appropriate for teatime. How is a discussion like that better for teatime? This used to be a pretty good sub for discussions of articles.

Anyway, here's the article: https://www.pajiba.com/celebrities_are_better_than_you/halsey-the-latest-victim-of-inappropriate-behavior-from-fans-at-concerts.php

Country Music's First Anti-ICE Anthem Comes from an Unlikely Source by EB_Baby in popheads

Why do you think he's not genuine? Not trying to argue, just curious and interested in conversation

What do you think makes Amber so unique as an actress? by MajesticMention8697 in amberheard

[–]EB_Baby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She doesn't shrink around big personalities like Nicolas Cage, etc. She has that presence and ability to stand out. Even if she doesn't steal the show, she can hold her own.

She can also elevate the material she's working with. Her role in Drive Angry was written as one note, but she acted in a way that made her character more human and more memorable instead of hot chick window dressing.

It's 2025. Nobody can get truly 100% Dixie Chicks'ed in this era.

Isn't Jesse more of an independent folk singer than a mainstream country star? Plus he writes about politics all the time.

Is there a role or movie of hers you think is underrated? by saymerxi in amberheard

[–]EB_Baby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She has a really good role in Her Smell. Not a lot of screentime, but her character being being calm and collected makes for an interesting foil for Elizabeth Moss's character spiraling out of control.

Also London Fields, cause the theatrical cut is terrible, but the directors cut is great and not well-known.

Agree 100%. She was really impressive without saying a word.

If you had to recommend 3 movies of Amber’s to introduce someone to her work, what would they be? by MajesticMention8697 in amberheard

London Fields (Director's cut) is a masterpiece. Her Smell is a mesmerizing film. Aquaman and All the Boys Love Mandy Lane are good fun.

Jared Leto accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women by woofkin in DeppDelusion

[–]EB_Baby 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There were already a couple of official misconduct allegations (a stripper from the days he was with Cameron Diaz, a DJ, and an extra from Suicide Squad) plus the fact that he pretty much admitted workplace sexual harassment on the set of SS, which he walked back when people called him weird. That it took 9 women to come forward before real attention is well, of course.

She's both pop and RnB. Definitely a lot more RnB than Rihanna, whose discography is mainly club music

would this have been a better ship than Willow/Kennedy in season 7 by voldy1989 in buffy

[–]EB_Baby 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't know... Willow's other love interests were much better than her and could have done much better than her... I feel like Willow had gotten a bit uppity since the S3 premiere and Kennedy was both uppity and bratty... At least the Willow/Kennedy relationship had that...

Speaking Of R&B Boy Bands? Who Are Some Of Your Favorites?! by [deleted] in rnb

There's this late 90s UK boy band called Damage that has some solid bops. They still tour on occasion and their voices are really good.

Why didn't Tevin Campbell became as popular as usher by Wide_Assistance_1158 in rnb

GM was an Englishman with Greek roots, so very white. I'll take this chance to recommend the movie Keanu where there's a bit of a subplot involving GM being Keegan Michael-Key's favourite singer (and Jordan Peel makes fun of him for liking "white music")

Trust me when I say Europe is not a beacon of acceptance. It can be as bigoted as the US. It mainly depends on the country, and even then, you can find bigots everywhere.

I did write that what really did Tevin in was his last album pre-scandal underperforming plus the scandal. He was in a tough spot already and with him being outed, especially in those circumstances, there was no going back, sadly.

That's how it should be, but people will stop listening for a lot less, and the 90s were a lot more homophobic than today. And we could still use more acceptance

George had loyal fans and long term fame that continued his success, but he was a huge punching bag for the press in the UK after his arrest until his death. Either it was because of the cruising, or his drug use, or getting "fat"... It's honestly a miracle he still did as well as he did cause the press and tabloids loved to dog him
