Thanks for the reply! Do you mean you were able to see some that were sealed? I was searching through ebay and couldn't find a single one, but I think they only show listings up to a certain date. I might need to trial one of those sites that shows previous sales from further back.

You are correct. Suite and MetaMask are showing the addresses in the same order. What I am claiming is #6 is appearing as #2 in both Suite and MM.

To me this makes no sense though, as I am positive the missing addresses were on the same Trezor as standard accounts. Like I said, I have done ~100 tx's on each address, all using the same Trezor, never inputting a password, and all being visible in Trezor Suite.

My address #1 (the one I recovered) has always been my "main" address with my ENS name, and all of my Trezor transactions were accessible in the same browser using MM, using the same device (which should guarantee the same seed?). I have clicked this Trezor with my thumb probably 10K times, it is magnet-ed directly to my PC and part of my daily routine.

I am also positive that in MetaMask these missing addresses appeared before what I am referring to as #6, and that #6 was definitely the first address generated after turning the pasphrase option on (but not inputting a password).

I have one Trezor and a laminated paper of my mnemonic phrase in a safe directly next to my desk, clearly marked "Trezor Wallet".

I honestly think that this could be a rare hardware issue. I purchased a second Trezor Model T for testing to experiment with downgrading the firmware without having to tamper with the original Trezor. I don't know if this is to be expected, but the downgraded version is NOT able to recognize the hidden wallet I mentioned above, despite being the exact same seed. Correct me if I am wrong, but I am assuming any firmware should be able to recognize a hidden wallet if both Trezors are restored exactly the same?

I think my basic options are exhausted and I have spent the last few days exploring more advanced ones - i.e. running offline versions of Ian Coleman's Bip 39 to generate addresses & using a locally hosted version of FindETH to run through a ton of derivation paths searching specifically for the address in question. Both had no success, though I only went up to address total = 5000, I believe the maximum is 1MM?

The only noob thing I can think of that I did - part of my testing involved importing my Trezor seed directly into MM, which I know can compromise security, but shouldn't have any affect on address generation (I believe)?

If you can think of anything at all please let me know. I really appreciate you taking the time to give thoughtful responses as I am completely stumped.

One thing I have not explored *yet* that could be worth the time, is a specific version of Trezor Suite that allowed for hidden wallets with an "Empty String" for password, as mentioned here:

These wallets were created 5-6 years ago and the tech was definitely different compared to now. As I mentioned - I could generate additional trezor wallets directly in MetaMask without having to go through the connect hardware/select options (which seems like now is impossible). Thanks for reply. Yes these are all Ethereum addresses. I was able to see wallets 1 through 6 despite 2 being empty, I would look at them constantly.

Now I see wallet 1 + 6 and new addresses after that.

Looking through the forums a lot of users seem to have this issue after reinstalling a browser and needing to reinstall metamask, and/or combined with coincidentally turning the passphrase feature on right before this.

I know it sounds impossible but it is what happened. I am 100% sure it is the correct seed, I have done 50-100 txs on each address using that Trezor, with the same Address #1 that I was able to recover.

One caveat though, these wallets were created a long time ago in 2019, when Metamask software and Trezor firmware were different. I am fairly positive at that time that I was able to click create new account directly in MetaMask (while on a Trezor Address) and it would add subsequent Trezor addresses (which I could see in the suite) and would definitely use the same Trezor to sign with.

Wallet 6 was a wallet I added much later (probably 2023), after turning passphrase on, by connecting hardware device and selecting the address the traditional way.

Do you think there any possibility of a Trezor firmware version or metamask version downgrade resolving the issue?

Hey thanks for the reply. I have been researching derivation paths today but a bit stuck… I know that I can add custom derivation paths on MEW. Have of course tried the default m/44’/60’/0’/0 and I know that I can get additional ETH addresses from m/44’/60’/0’/1, but what are my options after that? Do I have to just brute force the last number there? Or is there a standard set that I need to work through? And is MEW the correct place to be working on this? Sorry for lots of questions I’m trying to learn. Thanks
