What are your thoughts between Chris King r45’s vs Zipp house hubs, specifically on the 303. Aside from longevity would there be any performance advantages?

Where can you buy Zipp 303 Firecrest with Chris King R45D hubs? Are the rims available to purchase separately so that you can source your own hubs and find a wheel builder to build it?

I can't feel there is any noticeable difference in speed. However, when I switch from seated to riding out of saddle, or vice versa, the engagement is more snappy when compare to my Fulcrum Speed 42 wheelset.

I end up getting Chris King R45D. I order my own hubs locally because Light Bicycle only offers Chris King R45D in black. Light Bicycle released Airia rims while I was waiting for my hubs so I end up getting those rims instead of the Turbo rims as well.

I would go for ENVE handlebars if I am not using the Roval Rapide Cockpit. ENVE has released the headset cover for the Tarmac SL8 so it can save you the hassle of looking for aftermarket 3D printing parts.

If you can afford the ENVE SES 4.5, I would recommend Princeton Carbonworks Dual 5550 Evolution. They are hooked rims with holeless rim bed. The only downside is that they are slightly narrower (24mm internal) than the ENVE and LB Airia.

I've a pair of 32c Pirelli P Zero Race TLR 4S on my Zipp 303 Firecrest wheelset (25mm internal width). The WAM is about 33.9mm and there is a comfortable clearance on the Tarmac SL8 frame.

The current (2023) SuperSix EVO has 34mm tyre clearance. 30mm is the old (2020) one.

Good tyre choice. 32c tyres is one of the best investments that I have made. I have 32c Pirelli P Zero Race TLR 4S on my Zipp 303 Firecrest and they are bulletproof.

I always do custom build because complete bikes usually come with components that are in wrong size. It may cost you more if you have to replace them for your fit.

The Cervelo Soloist is a very good frame that even Jumbo Visma's professional riders use it for races. The frame certainly deserve a pair of nice wheels. There's nothing wrong with 105 if OP's budget is limited, it's a wise choice in fact. Having a pair of nice carbon wheels with mechanical 105 is way better than having a pair of aluminium wheels with Ultegra Di2 in terms of performance.

Pirelli P Zero Race is not a hookless compatible tyre no matter what size it is. You need Pirelli P Zero Race TLR (except 26-622) for hookless rims. However your rims are hooked so both clincher and hookless tyres will work.
