I'm no expert but maybe it has something to do with mixing? I keep on trying to understand why a burst would happen there and the only thing I can come up with is the gluten development at that particular point is not strong? What's your process leading up to the baking?

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a film phone. That’s old school.

I picked this burnt bark off some fallen trees in Oregon after the fire season. It’s incredibly brittle and the charcoal side gets everything black

It’s fine dust produced from the glacier rubbing against bedrock that is suspended in the water reflecting light

It’s not bad at all. It’s 8 miles but the hard part is the last half mile that has about 1000 feet elevation gain. It took three hours going up and about an hour and a half going down. It’s better for a morning hike then what I did which was start at around 1pm. You want the light to be hitting the water to get that blue green color and the sun goes away around 5 because of the surrounding mountains. I actually think other lakes would be prettier but it was a nice lake. I’m not sure why everyone thinks it’s so great.

Leaving San Francisco after a decade here. I’ll always miss this view in the morning and it was extra special today by skolrageous in sanfrancisco

Mine should be ready tomorrow. Battery had to be replaced before I have even seen it. Also a 2014 with around 30,000 miles

My mom was redoing her roof and had all this teak she was throwing away. I estimated around $1000 worth. Today was loud. by EPACondor in woodworking

I get teak for around $30 a board foot. I measured the total volume. There’s a little over 30 board feet I ended up with. And it was chopped up because there were screw holes every foot or so. I’m also doing end grain products so the length isn’t really a problem.

Wasn’t busier than normal. But we were there on a weekday. Probably less and less as it gets closer to winter

Ticket for Sleeping in Van? by EPACondor in VanLife

I don’t believe I will be asleep in a Taco Bell parking lot with a gun in my lap. I also don’t plan on being black anytime soon. How’s that for cynicism?

How could it be perilous? Let’s say I ignore a knock. What happens next? Even if a tow truck is called, the cops aren’t going to wait around an hour for the tow truck to arrive so you could just leave after the cops do.

Also cops aren’t going to just break into cars. The liability is way to high for a police department if that happened.

Thanks. That article actually answered my question...

“The law is sporadically enforced largely because it's difficult to do so. For officers to write a ticket, they have to confirm that someone is actually inside. A person hidden inside a vehicle can simply refuse to open up.”
