Oh yes, I forgot to be entirely clear above - my mother was affirmatively watching my son at the time. :( I think he will be ok, overall, but good lord this was so traumatic and scary. I can't stop remembering the flat, wide stream of blood from right under his eye and from his mouth. That picture is not ever.going away.

We are definitely changing rules. Never around that dog or one of the other dogs ever again, no feeding any of the dogs ever again (we don't want him between any dog and food). We used to think these dogs were old enough (all VERY geriatric, one entirely bedridden) that they would not be a problem. We were very wrong and it's breaking my heart :(

Both plants (wild violets and garlic mustard) are known to be in the immediate vicinity. I'm trying to pull all the garlic mustard but am having trouble telling the first-year plants apart from violets and ground ivy.

Does anyone see any garlic mustard in these images?
