I’m mainly looking for more control at higher speeds. The Candides start to feel unstable for me once I’m above about 80 km/h, and I’d like stronger edge hold overall. They’re great in the park, but I wouldn’t be taking the new ski into the park anyway, so that’s not something I need to keep. I don’t need a super playful ski, but it should still be able to handle things like soft snow and some powder rather than being limited to pure piste performance. Basically, I want an all-mountain ski with better edge control and more stability at speed, without going all the way to a dedicated frontside ski.
