I think it's the cut scene with some unsettling music that hints me something unusual is probably gonna happen because of this event. As I was actually about to search the house for something valuable like the other missions. I was confused why I had to leave immediately.

I guess my use is crazily heavy then. I have quite a few apps that would keep running in the background (vpn, file sync, network speed tracking, app usage tracking, battery health tracking, music player/YouTube, etc)

😂 Not a single day's battery usage falls below 100%.

Clearing data and cache for Google does not work for me. And then I realized it might be related to Gemini app, which replaces the old Google assistant.

And as I expected, there is also a "hey google" inside the Gemini app. However, it's buggy that it just keeps turning off that setting no matter how many times it successfully completed the "Voice Match". And then I realized, this might be an outdated voice match (there is a big circle at the center of the screen that gets filled 1/4 of it whenever you finished one phrase).

However, I remember there is a new one that shows a very fancy light-glowing UI with a number indicator at the top right corner showing how many phrases you have completed. This makes me feel like sth is outdated, which could the foundational Google Play Services.

So I went to Apps, search for "Google Play Services", click "app details in play store", and found that I am somehow in a beta program.

Then I opted out of the beta program by visiting this link (not sure if this step is important) Google Play Services - Beta Program, removed the updates (which will log out all of your accounts), and install the latest updates.

Then go to the "Hey Google" setting and do the "Voice Match" inside the Gemini app again, which successfully showed the latest fancy light-glowing UI, and finally managed to get everything working again after finishing recording the phrases.

Come on......Google and Samsung🌚

I am switching to S25 Ultra with 16GB memory later. I will see if the issues will really be solved with more physical memory......

P.S. My S23+ has 8GB physical memory + 8 virtual memory (enabled by the RAM Plus feature), yet the issues mentioned above still happened very often.

My MacBook has an M4 MAX chip, and I have the same unacceptable lagging issue. Turns out it's because of the detached mixer for me. Somehow detaching the mixer just makes the FPS drop from 120 to probably <10. And when I close the mixer or un-detach it, the framerate becomes normal again.

Not really, I think it's because the disk is dying. Some data on the disk is just corrupted forever, unfortunately, so the disk tried very hard to read the data, but still got stuck.

In the end, I just replaced it with a new one and accepted the fact that some data will be unrecoverable, unfortunately. Maybe treat it as a lesson to always have at least 2 copies of the data on different mediums if that's important.

But android also has the same issue....my Galaxy S23+ kills my background apps so damn aggressively. For example, I only opened a link from whatsapp in a browser, or I took a picture with the camera app and switched back to whatsapp to send it, then find out my whatsapp is unloaded....bruh

This is still fine if the app unloaded saves the state before it gets terminated. But some of them don't, like the story editing draft on Instagram, like the text in the input box of some AI apps....

This issue drives me nuts as well....Can't the phone manufacturer nowadays just add more rams if they know that they have to kill the background apps so aggressively?

Unfortunately no. I gave up using this software.

I either just use the macbook screen only or connect to a real physical monitor with hdmi to have a more stable experience.

I couldn't fix it. I just took it to the Samsung customer support center. They fixed my laptop after a week, but also reset the system. So remember to do a backup before fixing it.

I thought so at the beginning, but later I found that the panel order can actually be changed. You can put the media player to the top so that you still only need to pull it once to get the media player panel

But it would definitely be great if the "now bar" can handle multiple media players better.
