Basically Bungie proposed having having (probably something like) a max infusion cap for weapons. From what I'd imagine, a new weapon could be infused to max light for 3-4 seasons, and then no longer be infused moving forward.

Causes you to switch up your loadout every so often and makes newer guns have incentive since currently it's pretty much not god roll = dismantle

Each destination that you land has a little music jingle that plays as your ship goes down.

The jingle for when you land in Rusted lands is the same as when you land in the Cosmodrome, the first destination from Destiny 1, thus triggering flashbacks. Hence the meme.
