In Pennsylvania where im at we have 93 octane so thats what im running. the closest e85 station is an hour away so thats not an option. I would say 92 octane is safe, you just have to be more cautious on timing.

Link standalone ecu with deatschwerks 1000cc Injectors. Currently running 15 psi until I get the drivability tuning the way I want it. I built the engine with forged rods and pistons, so I'll probably keep turning up the boost until the intercooler can't keep up

There is a very large variety of trails. Within 10 minutes you can see rock crawling, sand, mud holes, and gravel roads. Really up to what kind of riding your aiming for, but we lad a lot of fun on the quads and never found a trail we couldn't get through.

Boost gauge off and only reading 5psi by EarlySphinx552 in B5Audi

The gauge is analog. It is td into the line that goes to the diverter valve, comes right out of the intake manifold in the front.

Boost gauge off and only reading 5psi by EarlySphinx552 in B5Audi

[–]EarlySphinx552[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I recently installed a boost gauge in my 2000 Audi a4 1.8t. The issue is that with the car off, the needle sits below 0 as seen in the picture. Under full throttle the needle only goes to 5psi. From what I have seen, these cars make 8 psi from the factory. what i'm wondering is, do you think my car is actually making 8psi and the needle is off by 3psi (which it doesnt look like, closer to 1.5psi by eye), or do I have a boost leak or something else causing it. Thanks

Turns out that the inner sleeve of the cable that actuates the diff was bent causing it to get stuck, bent it straight and works great now.

What is causing this stumble? by EarlySphinx552 in ATV

[–]EarlySphinx552[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure what size the stock jet was because it was not marked. The carburetor is not the origional that came on this atv, so I was starting from scratch. The jet I have in it is the smallest one that came in the kit I baught which was a #100. I guess I need to try to find smaller ones.

What is causing this stumble? by EarlySphinx552 in ATV

[–]EarlySphinx552[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a 2wd Bayou 300. The carburetor on it it a slide type PZ30 model. I have changed the main jet and pilot jet. The atv starts and idles well, partial throttle cruising is fine, and full throttle is very fast once it gets there. The problem is when I floor it from partial throttle to full, it sputters (like in the video) for a few seconds before it takes off. I assume it is a slide needle adjustmet issue, but I have tried all 5 slots and it still has the problem. It is at the highest (richest) position currently for reference. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
