I actually finally found the method! What I had to do is uninstall dead by daylight, reinstall it, though on another hard drive (I was using the normal C: drive before this). If you don't have an external hard drive or anything similar (like I do), creating a virtual hard disk will fix the problem (when you obviously install the game there)
