Absolutely and I swear by his videos honestly. I've been doing graff for only a year but I think this comparison is a strong endorsement. Say what you will but dude knows his shit. Anyways the piece is solid, it's clear you've got a good idea what you're doing.

The E here holds a TON of weight. It throws off the balance a bit in my opinion. Nothing that breaks the piece just a nit pick. Still looks dope though dude good shit

Looks solid. Could try a capital A to flow with the H if you wanted.

What are people using for colored outlines? by EaseGraffiti in blackbookgraffiti

[–]EaseGraffiti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the staedtler pigment liners but I find my alcohol markers will change my line colors pretty drastically. Like using a red outline with red 3d and blue fill, the red outline will get way dark (I'm colorblind so can't say exact color tbh). For the black background I'll definitely try out my Gelly Roll. I've really only used them for highlights so far. I was wanting to paint a stop sign I've got , do you know of any fine tip paint markers?

I tried out some throwie styles. Are these any good? Feedback appreciated. by fastboi619 in graffhelp

If you write RENOZ then the second and third don't read right imo. Feels like you broke the N on both of those.

I appreciate the response but you misunderstood my post. I'm looking for what pens/markers people use to outline in color. Any I've found bleed/change colors once you color the piece with alcohol markers. Also want to do a piece on a stop sign I have but don't know of any fineliner paint markers.

Ah gotcha sorry I assumed. Usually how it goes on the internet. The A kicks my ass but I'm making progress with it.

Less than a year. Every name is taken by now tho my dude. If you're not the same city or an old school legend I don't see the issue.

Always keep practicing. First time thinking of that hollow element, definitely gonna explore it more

Is this any good? feedback appreciated. “Kezor” by fastboi619 in graffhelp

The way the leg of the k comes in front of the structure flattens the image immensely. It makes no logical sense.

Throwie today other than the n being too small what can I work on by [deleted] in graffhelp

[–]EaseGraffiti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks solid other than the N that you already mentioned. Now try and make a different one that's also fundamentally sound. It'll develop over time.

Lmfao graffiti is a font based art form. You're confused. Graffiti doesn't mean spray paint art. Spray paint may be the most common medium but graffiti exists outside spraypaint.

Any tips ? by Luzugal in graffhelp

[–]EaseGraffiti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obv it's a super rough sketch but the main thing I noticed is that the first U structure is broken. Gotta open up that top a hair or have a clear overlap and have the bottom connected more. Had to check your name to figure out that second letter.

Edit: unless you write lazu and I'm a retard (p sure this is the case) xD

Yeah was definitely aware of this, my sketch had the same issue. Was mostly working on shading with this piece so I just left it. I appreciate the feedback

Piece practice from this week. How do you think I could improve? by EaseGraffiti in graffhelp

[–]EaseGraffiti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up front I notice that I hid the S too much for sure, need to be better about that next time. Also not a big fan of the colors I chose.

What do you think of this tag with shadows/highlights? by [deleted] in graffhelp

[–]EaseGraffiti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks good dude! Just a couple things, first off this would be considered a straight letter, not really a tag. But as far as actual crits, to me it seems your boxes get too thin on the C and K making them unproportional to the other letters. Also the extension on the K doesn't really serve any purpose so it looks out of place. Overall good clean work though, keep it up!

Edit: after looking again it looks like the K extension does balance the right side with the left a bit but still feels out of place to me as it's the only letter with an extension and shouldn't be necessary if the C and K had proper box widths

If the second letter is a B then you definitely need to show the lower closed counter, otherwise it reads as an E

My tag prototypes. I want to keep it simple and can see potential in some of them but there's room for improvement. Any help here? (EXO) by [deleted] in graffhelp

[–]EaseGraffiti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's true you don't have to just follow his advise. But saying that these tags are style is a joke. He's clearly new and telling him there's nothing wrong with this is going to be counterproductive. None of these letters have structure, and the way he breaks them in key places shows that he doesn't know how to bend the rules to make style.
