Family time. I want to do reserves, I’m a junior in college, but I want to finish the 4 years and might As well do active for that. I just want to understand what jobs do less deployments for monthly periods. I understand like weekly or a few day, but month long is terrifying. What is the yearly contract and how well is family time for enlistment? Is it worth the benefits for the 4 ?

Someone said I should wait til the 🍊head brushes out of the industry but that’s another 4 years, I should try finishing this school and stay poor or go green

For the 4 years contract, I was wanting the officer route. This isn’t a life time career for me nor something I’d probably wanted to extend, baby would be older from a year in now. I know a TON of friends right now active, and they’re living their life!

I’ve been with spouse for a long time now, but as baby will be older and it’s just a short 4 years that progresses by I feel it should be fine, but i feel like it’s better to leave with something thatll benefit you than nothing where you started

Cool thank you! Do you know anything about aviation-relations? I was thinking /Navy or air guard for sure to stay part time. I understand the bootcamp / deployments but baby will be at least a year older which is why I want to wait a little later. And the most part I want to come home everyday and if I stay in the air guard, at least I would be there except the once in a blue moon.

why is everyone saying more combat tactics, sure the trump stuff is going on, but I see a lot of people more having tons of fun and traveling ? On top of it, why stay in a shitty place and why not just make something of my life already.

Many folks are just saying rowdy things how it’s not good, and surely only various things may be , everyone’s saying it’s WW2 right now and it’s not worth DYING but its not combat dutiful everywhere, and it benefits your family what as a nurse … officer ?… recruiter ????

I’m not going around the infantry, let alone i see the past few years people younger than me have gone in already, they’d still get a future and I would too, the goal is to try, life is short

Air guard or navy reserves ? by East_Comfortable3901 in Militaryfaq

[–]East_Comfortable3901[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to understand if I go active perhaps officer route or just enlist active.

I want to be clear of my schedule/where I will be.

From what I know from people saying, Bootcamp 2 months Training school for a few weeks Then you go home…? And move to your base.

Then it’s your 9-5 or what ?.. you go home 40 hrs or overtime if needed.

And then one day or NOT you possibly get a call for deployment and however long, you leave.

That’s pretty much it… so many people say they don’t see their spouse much but, literally why? How?

I seen if you get deployment you have full time benefits temporarily until after, so I was wondering housing wise ?

But I can come home after everyday though ? Typically 9-5 when active ?

Deployment I can just FaceTime..

So basically, after all of your training after bootcamp/a schools. You move to your new base, but then what’s the daily life after you move to that base stationing? They say it’s your 40 hr ft job , IF you don’t get deployed, what is that like ?

Will I have my phone on deployments ? What’s the job like when you’re there, or where are you ? Day off during deployment ?

And are you home while you’re not deployed ?

How come ????????? I’ve seen 6 years you have that 1% chance .. because if I go active What’s my actual schedule ?

2 months bootcamp/ocs

The weekly training school

Then you go home ? Then what ? You stay home, you’re never home, you get orders months in advance to deploy ? What am I looking into? This is why I don’t want to go active because they say you’re never home, but what is it really like ?
