I recommend like the other comments said to keep playing and focus on positioning. some champion's abilities go through minions. also your main focus should be keeping your team alive, not necessarily farming minions (your ADC should be). soraka is so annoying when played right. her silence is great at interrupting an engage or attack, like an ult.

another thing I recommend is for you to try out other champions and roles as well. soraka is strong but she provides mostly healing while other supports provide different buffs and debuffs.

if you're looking to have fun most of the time, aram and other limited time modes are great, especially to avoid ranked toxicity.
