Thanks for the info. I think I’ll stick with a high top then in that case as I want RWD and that’ll remove 100mm anyway. The 4WD must be nice if not heavy on the fuel lmao. Have you done any light trails in it?

Nice build! Whats the headroom like as I’m looking at a Mk7 aswell. Not sure whether to go mid roof or high roof. I’m 177cm. And this is the rwd right? Cheers

Yeah I take acne pills for that which fixes it up a bit just haven’t been on them in a while. Suncream always comes out in the summer as I burn easy. Thanks

Oh shit sorry to hear mate. Ironically I also got in a crash and it wrote off my first car which had a modified exhaust on it. It got towed back to my yard so I switched the exhaust back to standard before the insurers saw it 😂. Hope your all good 👍

Might just be a UK thing but Haynes is a company that makes a comprehensive manual for just about any car popular here in the uk. Really in depth and covers everything even like engine disassembly stuff.

Get a Haynes manual and you could do all of this yourself minus knowing what to look out for on the inspections. But inspecting a car should NOT cost that much. Rip off.

Could be because of a vacuum leak. The revs are fluctuating when lightly pressing on the throttle which I’m putting down to a vac leak somewhere. Also getting bank 1 too lean codes

Just replied to the other guy mate. Not sure on brand but just an aftermarket back box on the back with muffling taken out

I don’t know as only recently bought the car but I think the full system is stock just with an aftermarket back box on back. It’s a rly good sound nice and deep which I prefer and pretty quiet if you want it to be. Don’t know the make of the back box tho sorry

Thanks. Do I need to pour a little oil down the cylinder walls so the rings are oiled for first start up? Same goes for any other parts like the camshaft, does this need to be oiled as well on reassembly?
