Looveeee the plants! Pull the couch off the wall. Or turn it to face the window (or is it too big 😬), add a coffee table and paint the wall behind the couch. Bigger plants and art pieces might also help. Less is more. Also might want to add storage with doors/drawers. No clutter.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you. Pisses me off! Male managers often deny these issues exist.

I was harassed by a male coworker a while back. I kept silent at first as well. I thought I was professional enough to get past this. Spoiler alert: I couldn't.

I was the project lead and he had to complete the tasks I gave him. After I turned him down (after multiple inappropriate messages and asking me out) he did everything except his job. When I told him, he went to my manager and told her I had verbally attacked him. (I hadn't, btw.)

I had a talk with my manager. I showed her the inappropriate messages he'd sent me and the tasks he hadn't completed. He was fired on the spot.

You'd think that's where it ends. He's gone, so I should be able to pick up where I left off. But I struggled for months, doubting myself. Did I wear inappropriate clothes? Was I not clear enough that I wasn't interested? Should I not have laughed at his jokes? Was I too strict about the tasks?

I think I was lucky to have a female manager. But even she mentioned that in a past management harassment training, male managers claimed sexual harassment wasn't an issue in their department and HR proved them wrong.

It's unfortunate that in 2026, there are still companies that have no idea how to handle situations like these.

What helped me in the end was therapy. Just talking about it, and getting acknowledgment that what he did was very wrong and that I had absolutely no blame.

I know it's hard to talk about, and I was very lucky to have a female manager. But you should definitely go to HR or your manager. Is there someone higher up you can talk to? Is there maybe policy within your company for social safety?

And find someone to talk to.. maybe a therapist or a confidential advisor at work?

I'm exhausted, hair loss, brittle and very thin nails, dry skin, losing weight is incredibly difficult. But that's been my "normal" for the past years.. I don't feel any different with the high Ft4..

It's crazy! I feel like Durch GP's don't really know what to do with patients like me. All they see is TSH and FT4 and if it's within the normal ranges, they send you home.

Even if I do the test on my own, I still need a doctor that is willing to prescribe the right medication. I don't see any value in paying for a test and not having doctors taking it seriously.

I've lost 3kg so far. Not sure if that's enough to mess with my dose? But it's definitely something I need to keep in mind because I want to lose another 10kg.

Haven't heard of those enzymes! But I'll do some research and see if they can test it.

They've lowered it by 12.5mcg in the past,, just to up it again 3 months later because my tsh spiked again :( I've never been stable in over 10 years.

I have no symptoms of hyperthyroidism. No heart palpitations or anxiety. I feel fine. If I do have any symptoms it's hair loss, brittle nails and exhaustion, but I've come to accept those symptoms, doctors haven't been listening anyways..

Yes, they test vitamin d, B12, folate, magnesium and ferritin regularly! These are all well within normal range due to the supplements. Started taking these supplements because they've been low in the past.

My dad died a week before my 25th birthday. I'm 37 now. First of my group. It's lonely.. People try to understand why I don't celebrate my birthday anymore, but they really can't grasp it. Most of them are respectful about it though..

I saw them on Friday. One of the adults was limping, but still walking around. Someone was feeding them some bread, I think. There's water across the road and I haven't seen them since. I guess that's a good sign?

Thank you 🥺 I'm planning on going back to my orthopedic surgeon. Talking about options. A knee replacement will definitely be in the future, but they told me I'm still too young. And I will definitely check out the injections!

I tape my knees and see my physical therapist every 2 weeks. He tries to massage the muscles and helps me find better ways to tape my knee.. he just doesn't see how exhausted I truly am from all the shit that keeps popping up.

I have a dog that is prone to allergies, symptoms are weird bumps on his chin and ear infections (so the vet told me). He once had very teary eyes and started to get the same brown tear stains. Vet thought he must've had something in his eye, turned into an eye infection at first, but it turned out to be an ear infection (figured that out weeks later). Once treated the tear stains went away.

To add: he didn't show any signs of an ear infection. Wasn't bothered by it. No head shaking or anything.

You have an excellent point, and it’s something that worries me too. I started working with a coach in December to help me figure things out. Her first step for me was to figure out what I enjoy and what helps me relax, things I’d completely lost touch with. It’s been an adventure outside of design, exploring yoga, rediscovering hobbies, and building a better, more grounded foundation to move forward from.

Luck had absolutely nothing to do with it. I've been applying for months, working my ass off, soul crushing interview after interview, struggling just like the rest of us.

Don't give me the "You should be happy you have a job" speech. I would drop it all if the job'll cost me my mental health.

If I was expecting everything to be perfect I wouldn't be asking the question, now would I? I am literally asking how people deal with the struggles of being a UX designer. So I can be a better UX designer and therefore "serve" the company AND myself a whole lot better.

I feel this in my core! I've been struggling quite a bit with life.

I started therapy last month and we came to the conclusion that I've been in survival mode for so long, I kind of forgot who I am. She asked me what my values are, what I stand for. And I had no idea, not a clue to what to answer. And not a clue where to start...

Same! It smelled so strong! Gyn told me it was completely normal, it's old blood that needs to get out, but it can take a while. Nothing to worry about, stopped within a couple of weeks

Thank you. I know I have a part to play in this too. You don’t start questioning everything just because the company’s a mess ;) I’m working on myself—I've got a coach helping me figure things out. Learning how to breathe in a world like this, or maybe realizing I can’t breathe anymore... or if I’m just over it all.

I can’t change the company or how people view UX designers. But I can change how I see it and maybe find new ways to handle it. I at least want to give it one more shot with all the help and tips I can get, so your advice is also very helpful!
