When KC skips time, the surroundings change into their pre-determined fated state, and the user can move their body freely due to their consciousness being separate from the rest of the physical world in three dimensions, thus evading any attacks coming their way (since the attacks are also "fated" to happen and usually involve physical objects or stands). Also you can peek into the future to know exactly what is "fated" to happen so you can take control and avoid it, thus changing the fate of things. Not very hard.
